Timeline: August 2023 – July 2026 (completed)
Category: 🎓 Professional Development & Continuing Education
From August 2023 to July 2026, I pursued a state-certified technician qualification, completing it in July 2026. This qualification is classified at Level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework (DQR 6), making it formally equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
This is a specialized advanced training program that combines in-depth software engineering with networking, industrial robotics, and cyber-physical systems.
Focus Areas
Software & Interfaces
- Python for automation and technical systems
- API development (FastAPI) and system integration
- Communication protocols: Focus on MQTT and JSON-based data transfer scenarios
- Computer Vision: Fundamentals of image processing with OpenCV
Automation & Hardware
- PLC programming and industrial control engineering
- Sensor technology and signal processing
- Microcontroller systems and embedded system integration
- Robotics and industrial automation workflows
Networking & Security
- Network architecture: Planning and configuration of industrial networks
- Cybersecurity basics: Securing system communication (OT security)
- Infrastructure: Routing, switching, and industrial interfaces
Practical Focus & Engineering
The training is highly project-oriented. The focus is on designing integrated solutions that directly connect software systems with hardware components (robotics, machine vision). This expands my profile as a software developer with a deep understanding of real industrial workflows and the digitalization of production.
